Google Docs is a service supported by the Google search engine where documents, spreadsheets and presentations can be created, stored and shared by anyone with an account. This service enables individuals to work on their own or collaboratively. It is a web-based word processor which has the same features as MS Word. People can create and edit documents, spread sheets and presentations online using Google Docs. The data loss will be prevented because Google will automatically save the work done. It is free to use by anyone. The word processor comes with all the features that really helps in teaching and learning process such a tool, including spell checking, a word counter, capabilities for voice typing, the ability to insert images, maps, and tables into your text, and more.
Google Docs gives benefits towards teachers, students and parents. The first benefit is very easy to use. Teachers, students and parent can use this Web 2.0 for their works at anywhere since Google Docs is web-based. They can use this using their laptop or smartphone. Besides, it can save budget for some people who may did not have budget to buy Microsoft Office since this platform is free for everyone. They did not need to install Google Docs on computer because it runs on a web browser. Next, they can also do any task collaboratively. They can do their work together on the same document, at the same time. It will automatically detect any changes that has been made. So, this can save time because they did not need to wait others to finish their part. Lastly, it can save some space in laptop and smartphones. It is because they do not have to import something into their device since the documents will stored in the cloud automatically.

In conclusion, Google Docs give a lot of benefits in teaching and learning process. It is very easy to use and learn since it has some similarities with the Microsoft Office Word.
