Twitter is a service to communicate and stay connected with friends, family and colleagues through the exchange of quick, frequent messages. It works as a microblogging because any post only can be written up to 280 characters. User can make a “Thread” of their post by just replying to the post that has been updated. Message that also know as “Tweets” in Twitter that may contain images, videos, links, and text are posted by people. They only need to tap to the Tweet button in order to post an update to their profile. User can also forward any post to others which known as “Retweet”. Twitter also have chat box that known as “Direct Message” to communicate with another user privately or in a group. Since Twitter now become increasing popular for many people, it can be used as educational tools. It is free for everybody.

Twitter has a lot benefits for teachers, students and parents. Teachers can sign up an account for their class by inviting students and parents to follow the account. Then, they can upload images and short video of information, or make a thread about any topics related to the subject. Both teachers and students can tweet specifics of homework and assignments easily. Links to essential online sources or pages can also be included. Anybody can forward or respond to the tweet that had been posted by any students and teacher. Teachers can communicate with students and parent through this platform by replying to the post or in direct message. This will enhance the communication and collaborative between students and teacher. Parents can monitor their child by reading the threads or posts that have been made by the student. Parents also can learn something new from the reading.
